Another final day escape, or a devasting relegation, we are only two days away from finding out.

When someone says it’s only a game, tell that to the millions of supporters who feel the nerves when it comes to a crunch encounter like this one.

Birmingham fans on Twitter are certainly feeling it ahead of Sunday:

Some people actually enjoy the anticipation before such a crucial game, I’m certainly not one of them! Like many, I just want to get to kick off as soon as possible.

Of course, we are still outsiders to go down. We only need a point with Burton’s goal difference being so bad, but it doesn’t stop you thinking about all the things that could possibly go wrong.

I really wish the Blues would stop making things this difficult for themselves. I am just imagining the potential of us staying up with Garry Monk in charge for next season as a comforting thought.

  • This game I hope has a sensible referee with no early brandishing of cards. It will be tense for both sides and mistakes will happen. Davis and Keifenbeld (if selected) have to show their tenacity without early yellows-that is my fear. Our overall situation is favourable to that of our rivals so hopefully we will not play with fear.Maghoma,Adams and Jota are decent attacking players who should relish a capacity crowd urging them on.Whatever the outcome on Sunday My hope is that GM commits himself to Blues, which I am sure he will do.He comes across as a decent character and a perfect fit for our club.
