Brady’s Future Still In Doubt

Karren Brady has today denied claims that she has handed in her notice, however her future at the club is still surrounded in mystery.

Reports had speculated that Brady had handed in her notice, but speaking to the Birmingham Mail today she said:

‘That’s simply not the case.’

However she refused to elaborate on the issue or comment further on the speculation that surrounds her and a possible appointment at Capital radio.

A spokesperson for the club also confirmed that no notice has been handed in, but also would not comment further.

The rumours linking her to Capital have been flying round for over a month now, and the Mail speculates that a number of other companies could now be preparing approaches because of the publicity and her availability.

She recently described Capital as:

‘…a fantastic, iconic radio station.’

She also admitted that it was the station she grew up listening to music on and added:

‘I think the person that had the opportunity to give it back its credibility and soul – that would be a fantastic job.’

The reason this story keeps floating around though is because Blues have a 12 month notice period on Brady and she says herself:

‘For me, I’ve got a 12 month contract with Birmingham and I’m a very honourable person.’

Which of course begs the question is she off after 12 months, or could she be hoping the club agree to free her earlier and not insist on the full length of the notice so that tempers and relationships don’t become an issue over the period?

This one will no doubt run and run, but you have to think Karren is looking to move on simply because she hasn’t said flat out she won’t be taking the job and staying.
