Birmingham City have found themselves a left back (finally), according to Sky Sports sources with AFC Bournemouth full back Rhoys Wiggins expected in the Midlands tomorrow for a medical.

The 28-year-old defender resigned for the Cherries in January last year for the fourth time in his career but following the return of Tyrone Mings from injury and the arrival of Nathan Ake from Chelsea, it looks like he is set to leave once again.

Although Sky have revealed that he is close to signing for Gary Rowett’s side, they haven’t disclosed the type of deal but being so far down the line at Bournemouth, it wouldn’t surprise us if the move was a permanent one.

The former Sheffield Wednesday man looks like he is fully prepared to move to Blues and fight it out with Jonathan Grounds over the course of the 2016/17 Championship season.

Stay tuned to this deal which could go right down to the wire!
