Birmingham manager Alex McLeish insists that the favourites to win the Carling Cup are Arsenal, but that doesn`t mean that Blues cannot lift the trophy.
Birmingham saw off Villa to reach the semi final where they will meet West Ham United in a two legged affair.
Arsenal have to face Ipswich from the Championship so it stands to reason that they should be everyone`s favourite to grab success at Wembley, but Blues have been installed as second favourites to do it.
‘I am sure Arsenal are favourites but every team has got to believe,’ said McLeish.
‘You saw the Ipswich result against West Brom, and it shows that can happen.
‘We turned the belief into reality by beating Villa.
‘Can we go all the way? Why not? We are not favourites. Arsenal should on paper win it, but we know what can happen in cup football.’
