Birmingham youngster James O`Shea has gone to Potteries outfit Port Vale on a one month loan deal.

The 22 year old front man has recently been out on loan at Stevenage, closely watched by Vale`s new manager Jim Gannon who has tried to sign the player before.

The Vale manager told his club`s official site. ‘I have tracked the progress of James` career carefully having previously tried to sign him when I was manager at Motherwell and he was at Galway.

‘Unfortunately on that occasion he went to Birmingham but I am delighted we have managed to sign him on loan now for Port Vale.

‘He is a player with creative flair who can bring a real attacking dimension to the team and I am certain he will complement our squad here and work well with our existing players.’

O`Shea goes straight into the squad that faces Cheltenham on Saturday.
