Straight off the back, I have a feeling most of you who are reading this are expecting me to say that creative midfielder Reece Brown is the man that I am going to say should be starting on Tuesday night…well, let me stop you there folks.

Although it would be nice to see him in the starting XI, I can’t see it happening on Tuesday evening.

However, the youngster I do want to see starting the game against the Millers is 20-year-old full back Josh Cogley.

The young Englishman is yet to make a first team appearance in the Championship for Gary Rowett but with Jonathan Spector potentially still out injured for the game against Alan Stubbs’ side, now could be his chance.

On Friday night, Rowett changed his back for for the first time this season in the league and boy did it show, with Blues losing 3-1 to Nottingham Forest.

Summer signing Ryan Shotton was back at right back, a position which let’s face it, isn’t his strongest as we established last season, and Paul Robinson was a centre back.

Now, I think all Blues fans know that Shotton should be playing alongside Michael Morrison this season and that isn’t a partnership that should be broken up and I believe Rowett now knows that.

That being said, with both first team right backs out injured, Paul Caddis the longer of the two following his shoulder injury in an under 23’s game, Cogley could be called upon on Tuesday and I for one would love to see him get given a chance.

Although he is untested at Championship level, from what I have seen of him, he is certainly capable of playing first team football so I say that he should be given a go and who knows, he could turn out to be a gamble that pays off.

Yes, it may seem like a risk to most with the side looking to bounce straight back following that lacklustre performance on Friday night, but give the kid a chance and see what he does with it!

Blues fans, would you like to see Josh Cogley given a chance to shine on Tuesday night against Rotherham United? Let us know in the comment section down below!
