Korona Kielce striker Grzegorz Piechna has decided to stay at the club for at least the next six months, despite Blues interest in trialling him.

The 29-year-old, rated at around £700,000, has scored sixteen goals in seventeen appearances for the Polish club, but Piechna, nicknamed ‘The Sausage’, has decided to stay in Poland while he weighs up his options:

‘I’ve gone off the idea of joining Birmingham. I’ve decided after considering my options, to stay in Poland for the next six months.

‘If I finish as top scorer in Poland, it should be easier for me to move abroad.’

With Walter Pandiani set to move to Spanish club Espanyol for £1 million, Bruce is instead likely to move for Charlton striker-cum-midfielder Jason Euell, after recently watching him in action for Charlton Reserves.
