Birmingham City winger Viv Solomon-Otabor has signed for Blackpool on loan until January 2018.

The 21-year-old has struggled to build on his first team breakthrough under Gary Rowett, with his last league appearance for the club coming at the beginning of the year against Brentford.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers where he made just four appearances for the League One runners-up.

Solomon-Otabor will now spend the first half of the forthcoming season at Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool are managed by Gary Bowyer and gained promotion from League Two via the play-offs last season, beating Exeter in the final at Wembley.

Solomon-Otabor has 30 appearances and one goal to his name in a Blues shirt and joins fellow youngsters Connal Trueman and Dan Cleary out-on-loan, as they joined National League side Solihull Moors earlier today.
