With Birmingham throwing away games where they have seemed dominant, David Cotterill has decided to have his say on what is going on.

David Cotterill insists that Birmingham should be higher up in the league than they currently are. Blues have been close to a higher points return in many of their games so far this season before letting it slip.

Blues could not overcome a ten man Brentford earlier on in the season, they dropped points against Ipswich, Leeds united and now Sheffield Wednesday.

But the Welshman insists the problem is game management. The team cannot keep the ball when the going gets tough. Which I agree with, Blues really do need a ball comfortable central midfielder.

Speaking on BirminghamMail.co.uk

‘We need to keep the ball better than we do, if you give it away cheaply then that creates problems for yourself.’

‘In the first half against Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday there was only one winner.’

The Welsh international wants to see Birmingham kick on up the table starting away at Norwich. He says Blues need to see out other teams periods of pressure and finish them off when Birmingham have the chance.

Birmingham travel to a very difficult Noriwch game this weekend, knowing that their worst performances so far have came on the road against two of the divisions big boys.
