David Cotterill may be heading towards the exit door at St. Andrews.

The Welsh winger, who spent part of last season on loan at Bristol City, is the subject of interest from various Championship and League One clubs.

The 29-year-old was loaned out on January transfer deadline day after falling out of favour with former manager Gianfranco Zola.

Cotterill’s contract expires at the end of this month and it is thought that at least three or four clubs have already contacted the players representatives.

Birmingham City have not yet made a decision on the one year option available on his current deal.

Blues manager Harry Redknapp would like to run the rule over members of the first team squad that he didn’t get to work with last season but will not stand in Cotterill’s way if he fancies pastures new.
