Blues’ unhappy decade at Loftus Road

It’s been just over a decade since Birmingham City last beat Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road. On that day, goals from Bruno N’Gotty and Cameron Jerome sent Steve Bruce’s Blues to the Championship’s summit.

The game marked Blues’ sixth undefeated game at Loftus Road – since then they haven’t won in W12. In fact, Blues’ last three visits to QPR have ended in defeat.

By the time 3pm comes around tomorrow, Gary Rowett will be hoping his troops can end that run and maintain their promotion push.

Rangers, now under the stewardship of Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink, haven’t had the best of starts to the season. And with Blues’ recent form injecting confidence into the squad, and the array of options available to Rowett, this could be their big chance to succeed.

However, Loftus Road is a always a difficult place to go (unless you’re Newcastle United) and a point would represent a very decent afternoon’s work.
