According to reports in France, Birmingham City are set to go head-to-head with Premier League duo Watford and Burnley for the signature of FC Lorient striker Majeed Waris.

Ouest France are reporting that the three clubs are interested in the ?10 million rated striker and that they hope to have his future resolved at some point next week before the close of the transfer window.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian seems to be put of reach for Blues manager Harry Redknapp but with a deal for fellow Ghana star Afriyie Acquah reportedly on the rocks, Redknapp could well be looking to spend that money elsewhere.

However, the Daily Mail online are reporting that of the three clubs interested, Burnley look the most likely to sign him.
