Blues take on Derby County in the Championship on Tuesday night and boss Alex McLeish will be hoping his side can turn around their poor form of late.

But there is a problem in the defence, Stuart Parnaby faces a late fitness test before the game.

Parnaby was taken off on a stretcher during the 2-0 defeat at Blackpool on Saturday after getting the high boot treatment from Gary Taylor-Fletcher.

Alex McLeish is confident that the player should be okay: ‘We’ll continue to assess Stuart, but the signs are that he was a bit nauseous and that he’s going to be fine.’ He said.

Franck Queudrue also left the field at Blackpool with a tight groin, but should be ready to take his place in the side.

Lee Bowyer also required treatment after an off-the-ball incident which saw Claus Jorgensen sent off, but again, the player should be okay to start.

Forward James McFadden has recovered from illness and after coming off the bench at Bloomfield Road, he will be looking to get a start.

Stephen Kelly remains sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in training last week.
