Birmingham City have confirmed that they will be taking Swansea City striker Leroy Lita on a three month emergency loan.
The 27 year old has to wait until Saturday before the move can go ahead officially as that is when the loan window re-opens, but the deal has been done, contract signed and medical passed.
Lita has been with the Welsh outfit since moving from Middlesbrough 12 months ago in a move which cost the Swans £1.75million.
The loan has been snapped up by Lita who is keen to play first team football again after slipping down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium.
Blues boss Lee Clark told Blue’s official website: ‘I know Leroy very well having worked with him at Norwich during a loan spell in which he scored seven goals in 16 games.
‘He’s a proven goalscorer who has power and pace and there’s no doubt that he’ll add quality to my squad.’
