Young keeper Jack Butland has signed a contract extension with the Blues that will keep him at St Andrews until the summer of 2015.

The 18 year old who is currently on loan with Cheltenham Town is highly rated and has been attracting the interest of a few premier league clubs. He has also recently broken into the England under 21 side.

The lad has yet to make the Blues first team but is tipped for big things at St Andrews.

Chris Hughton told the club’s official website: ‘Jack is a very talented young keeper who in the summer was away with England Under-20s and was recently involved in two Under-21 squads.

‘He has undoubted ability and we are very happy to have got his services for an extended period of time.

‘At the moment Jack is on loan at Cheltenham and can only benefit from the experience of playing first-team games.

‘I am pleased to have such quality in the goalkeeping department in the form of Boaz Myhill, Colin Doyle and Jack, all of whom are very good players.’
