New boy Lee Novak scored twice either side of half time before Andrew Shinne rounded off the result four minutes from time!

Blues fans may remember former player Mark Cooper in the dug-out for Swindon, whilst the team produced an efficient performance to overcome Cooper’s side.

Burke wriggled through the Swindon box to set up Novak from 6 yards out for Blues first goal.

A beautiful Blues move starting with Koby Arthur to Shinnie who set Hancox off on his way to put Novak in from yards out meant Lee Clark’s men went 2-0 up.

Shinnie’s 86th minute goal came from just inside the box as he fired past the home keeper.

Swindon had chances throughout and were particularly dangerous through the middle of the park where Blues failed to cope at times, Randolph had a great game between the sticks for us.

Blues overall play with the ball was really good, there could have been plenty more goals but it just wasn’t to be on this day.
