Birmingham City travel down south to take on high flying Bristol City at Ashton Gate tonight.

Mehdi Nafti will be missing from the side as he starts a three game ban for his straight red card in the game against Doncaster at the weekend.

Artur Krysiak will stay as back up to Maik Taylor as Colin Doyle is still out recovering from knee surgery.

Cameron Jerome should line up in attack after scoring three goals last week (two in the reserves and one against Doncaster).
But with three matches coming in a week,
Alex McLeish could make tactical changes.

For the home side, Brian Wilson is expected to miss this game after limping out of the goalless draw with Cardiff City at the weekend, he has been assessed and has shin splints.

Gavin Williams came on for Wilson at Ninian Park and could make the starting line up for this game.

Midfielder Marvin Elliott will be pushing for a place once again after recovering from a knee injury.

Speaking to www.bcfc.com, Marcus Bent said ahead of the game: ‘I haven’t played against Bristol City for years but seeing them on a few occasions on the TV last season, they are a good outfit.

‘They were unlucky not to go up last season. They were up there all season and they are going to be confident.

‘I suppose we’re going there as the favourites but I’m sure they’ll see it a different way and they’re going to come at us.

‘It’s just how resilient we are as a team and how we go about winning the game and getting another three points on the board.’

For Bristol City, ex-Blue Dele Adebola said: ‘If I score and we win, then I’ll probably get home to find my car on bricks.

‘I’ve lived near Birmingham for quite a few years and have a lot of friends there. Most of them are Blues fans and they’re all hoping I’m going to be on the losing side.

‘I’ve already had a few messages from some of them telling me not to score.’
