Blues set to secure second Arsenal youngster?

A source close to Birmingham City Football Club has revealed that the club are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal teenager Alex Iwobi.

The 19 year old is one of the hottest properties coming through the Gunners ranks at the moment and it is believed that he is very highly regarded by Arsene Wenger.

Nephew to former Paris Saint-Germain and Bolton Wanderers star, Jay-Jay Okocha, Iwobi is set for a move away from the Emirates and it is thought that St.Andrews could be his next destination.

The likelihood of the loan deal is yet to surface but should the move develop any further, it is presumed that he will join Gary Rowett’s squad on a 93 day loan, also classed as an emergency loan.

Iwobi has been a top performer in the youth ranks at Arsenal for the past few years and during pre-season this campaign, he was given the chance to shine.

During his first start for the club on home soil, he bagged himself a goal in a 6-0 win over French club Lyon in the Emirates cup.

It is believed that should the teenager join Blues, he will be immediate back up alongside Nicolai Brock-Madsen should anything ever happen to main striker Clayton Donaldson.

Blues fans, would you want the teenage sensation to join the club? Does he sound like somebody who would fit in well with what Rowett is trying to achieve? Let us know in the comment section below!
