Birmingham City could be set to miss out on transfer target Robin Quaison with AS Roma and Hoffenheim both said to be interested in the Palermo attacking midfielder.

The 23-year-old was linked with Blues a week or so ago with Gianfranco Zola thought to be keen on bringing the player to St Andrews.

The interest of the club’s mentioned above as well as from Serie A club Sampdoria now looks to have all but ended Blues` hopes of signing Quaison.

Zola made three more additions to the club last week with Emilio Nsue, Cheick Keita and Kerim Frei all joining after the initial arrivals of Lukas Jutkiewicz (permanantly) and Craig Gardner.

  • Why do we keep hearing about quaison , it’s a striker we are after or should be , we need around 80 goals a season to get promotion , Marco’s on song so far …

  • I don’t think he would be interested in going to a championship club, and he did say he was going to wait until his contact runs down so he can get a better deal. Vey nice if we did get him but I think its a non starter.

  • I Think Zola as lost interest anyway. The player thinks he is Werth more than us so he don’t want to come if we was abele to change his mind and we did get him that would be the wrong move as his hart would not be in it.
