Blues reserves fielded a strong side against the Wolves second string and totally dominated their younger opponents.
Blues went ahead in the fifth minute from a Matthew Birley cross which Marcos Painter headed past Oakes in the Wolves goal.

Dudley Campbell was hauled down in the box on 14 minutes and got up to take the spot kick himself. Sadley his woeful kick was easily saved by Oakes to his right. Campbell
has yet to look anything like a Premiership striker and this performance had little in it to enhance his reputation.

A Painter cross on 29 minutes saw Oliver Allen turn home from five yards to double Blues lead.

The Blues back line was rarely threatened although Vaessen pulled out a smart save from Davis in the second half.

Upson after strolling though an hour was taken off and looked ready for a recall while the others battled on without too much threat.
