Birmingham City have reportedly rejected an enquiry from an unnamed League One side for striker Lukas Jutkiewicz, Vital Birmingham has learned.

A source close to us has revealed that the club have rejected the advances of a side from the third tier of English football with manager Steve Cotterill wanting to keep hold of the big forward.

The 28-year-old has notched up 22 league and cup appearances for Blues this season but he has only managed to find the back of the net once, in a 1-1 draw against Derby County away from home.

And with Southampton loanee Sam Gallagher now finding a bit of form with four goals in his last five appearances, chances look like they could become even more limited for the former Burnley striker.

However, with Nicolai Brock-Madsen the only striker that Blues are looking to get rid of, it would take a sensational offer for the club to depart with Jutkiewicz, or any of they other strikers for that matter.
