Blues winger David Cotterill is the subject of interest from Reading – but it is understood that Birmingham City have no intention of doing business. Gary Rowett does not want to part with the player and will not entertain the idea of his exit.
The 28 year-old is currently in France with the Wales squad ahead of Euro 2016 after a solid end to the season with Blues, he was involved in eight of Blues` last nine goals.
Cotterill was also sought after last season with his home town club Cardiff City making an enquiry which was rebuffed. Reading have tried their luck this time round and will now move on to other transfer targets.
Cotterill joined Blues from Doncaster Rovers in 2014 and has made 75 appearances scoring 13 times.
