Birmingham City teenager Foday Nabay, who has been described as one of the best young talents in the country, has left Blues for Fulham.

The 15 year old handed in a transfer request as his family wanted to set up home in London and despite trying everything to keep the youngster, Lee Clark finally had to admit defeat and let him go.

Birmingham will receive compensation from Fulham which is officially undisclosed, but one national newspaper puts that fee as just £300,000.

Clark is quoted in the Birmingham Mail as saying: “I made it abundantly clear to Foday in several meetings with him that he had the potential to become the youngest ever player to play for Birmingham City Football Club`s first team this season, at the age of 15.

“That was how highly I rated him and how highly the club rated him.

“We wanted him to stay but, as a football manager I couldn`t have done any more.’
