Birmingham face Charlton Athletic on Saturday and manager Alex McLeish could tinker with his front two ahead of the clash.

Blues are now without a win in three and McLeish will be looking for his front two to make an impact as they try to get back to winning ways, Kevin Phillips, Cameron Jerome, Marcus Bent and James McFadden will all be hoping to get the call.

Franck Queudrue has been ill of late but should return at left-back while on-loan Nicky Hunt will continue in defence.

Martin Taylor looks likely to drop to the bench.

On loan Nigel Quashie is set to continue his work in midfield because Damien Johnson is still a little way off full fitness even though he is back to full training.

Striker Garry O’Connor (groin), full-backs Stuart Parnaby (hamstring), Stephen Kelly (thigh) and David Murphy (knee) and winger Gary McSheffrey (knee) are all out of contention.
