Birmingham City are keeping tabs on Dundalk winger Daryl Horgan, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 24 year-old has been a star player in the League of Ireland and has scored 20 goals in 84 appearances from out wide. However, his contract expires in January which has sparked the interest from a number of clubs.

The Mirror claims that Barnsley, Brentford and Ipswich Town are also keeping an eye on the Galway-born man.

He has previously represented Cork City, Sligo Rovers and Salthill Devon and has been capped by Ireland at U19 and U21 level.

Blues` squad is set to be strengthened in the forthcoming transfer January transfer window after the takeover of Paul Suen`s Trillion Trophy Asia. It is reported that Gary Rowett may have around £10m to spend which is a world away from the amount made available in previous windows. But the Blues boss will remain cautious with the business that he does.
