Birmingham are hoping that they can overturn the decision to give midfielder Michel a red card the other night when he played in the reserve game against Chelsea.
The Spaniard was given a straight red card for a tackle on Danny Mills which looked to be nothing out of the ordinary.
If the card was allowed to stand, Michel would be suspended for City’s Premier League games with Aston Villa, Burnley and Bolton.
Birmingham have confirmed they will contest the sending off on the grounds of it being a wrongful dismissal.
