Birmingham City manager Gianfranco Zola has entered the race to sign Swedish midfielder Robin Quaison.

The highly rated 23-year-old is attracting interest from a number of Serie A clubs and Blues, who today drew a line under their pursuit of Slovenian international Rene Krhin.

Quaison has represented Sweden on five occasions and currently plays for Italian side Palermo where his current contract expires this summer.

He can play central midfielder or out wide and has scored 23 goals in 148 career appearances.
