If you were not at Anfield on Wednesday and relied on the National Media for your info you may have wondered actually who Liverpool were playing. Fowler was the Man of the Match and the 43,000 odd came to see him.

Well Fowler only touched the ball once and that after the whistle gone and Blues put up one of the most heroic performances certainly in their Premiership History. Having lost two players injured before the game had started, lost two more on the half hour and finished with only reserve centre half Tebily in midfield, and still got a point, you might have expected some comment from some where. Frankly the Media and BBC in particular are not interested. They wanted Fowler to be the story and when he wasn?t then that became the story. Blues could have played with eight men and won three nil and still struggled to get any credit.

The fact is that ten man Blues became the first team in eleven games to breach the Liverpool defences at Anfield. Johnson?s sending off was a joke and is unlikely to be rescinded. But who cares? Certainly not the BBC. Their local network reported today that for tomorrow?s match, Arsenal will be without Campbell. For them to actually mention Blues is unusual but for their information as well as you dear reader I can reveal that Blues will be without Dunn, Kilkenny, Cunningham, Martin Taylor, Butt, and Nafti for tomorrow?s game. Also doubtful are Forsell, Lazaridis and Gray. Arsenal who haven?t got and away point for months let alone at Anfield with ten man, seem to concern our local reporters more then the team that bears the nations Second City.

DJ Campbell was the media darling last week as he made what would have been a pretty drab Match of the Day otherwise. Doing that for a London club helps as the distance from Brentford to the BBC Centre is minimal. Campbell?s transfer and thje fact that he is likelyto be thrust in a Premiership debut tomorrow is ignored now by the Auntie Beeb.

Chris Sutton will have to be moved into midfield and with Forssell doubtful Campbell should face the Gunners. We wish DJ Campbell every luck in the world but it will need to be a debut of all debuts if after the game the hacks aren?t talking about Sol Campbell omission.
