Luke Turner talks of the impact Blues fans can have in this season run in…

With just nine games of the season remaining, it is great to see that we still have something to fight for and aim towards.

No one would’ve expected us to keep up with the pace and compete with those who have spent millions of pounds on top quality talent to aid their promotion push.

The team have worked tirelessly all season but are on a slightly sticky patch at the moment. With the play-offs still in reach, fans should be wanting to turn up and support the team.

We barely get to see it anymore but when St Andrews has over 20,000 fans inside it, then it really does become an intimidating place for away sides and we can make all the difference for the players.

Away attendances have been magnificent all season and Blues will be backed by another packed out away end at The Valley when we play Charlton on Saturday.

We also have some big home games coming up against promotion contenders and the lads will need all the support they can get from us.

Four of our last five home games are night fixtures but the club have done all they can to make it affordable for fans to purchase tickets and come along to support Gary Rowett`s men.

The club is in the best shape it has been in a few years and we have to thank Rowett and the players for that. We may as well just go for it in these nine remaining games with that top six still in sight.

So I am hoping that we get more fans down to St Andrews and continue to sell out those away fixtures as we enter the business end of the season. We still have so much to play for and, at Birmingham City, we fight till the end!
