John Terry is a shock target for Birmingham City, according to The Times.
The former England captain will leave Chelsea this summer and has been linked with a number of clubs, including Blues, Villa and West Brom.
Terry, 36, is reportedly willing to drop into the Championship and The Times report that Harry Redknapp is trying to sway him in the direction of B9.
Terry’s salary would be a major stumbling block for Blues – he currently earns ten times more than Blues’ highest earner.
However, Terry’s ambition to become a coach in the near future may offer Redknapp a bargaining tool.
The famous defender has been at Stamford Bridge for 22 years and previously spoke of his wish not to represent another Premier League club.
