Reports today suggest that Birmingham have joined Albion in the chase for former England international David Thompson.
The 29 year old midfielder, formerly of Coventry, Blackburn, and Liverpool, was called into Eriksson’s squad twice and ended last season with Wigan Athletic.
It is believed that Blues’ interest only stretches as far as a possible replacement should Liverpool make an offer we can’t turn down for Pennant.
