Blues can terrorise the Terriers

Birmingham City have never won the FA Cup. In their 143 existence, England`s prime cup competition has passed them carelessly by.

Blues travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday for a fourth round tie with the fans debating whether or not Steve Cotterill should field a weakened side. While that is the attitude, we will never win the FA Cup.

Huddersfield are a side lacking confidence after picking up just two points from their last four fixtures leaving them hovering just two points above the relegation zone.

Their manager, David Wagner, has labelled the Premier League ‘a priority` which, although understandable, suggests he will make a raft of changes to his team – just as he did at St. Andrews back in April (thanks for that, David).

If Blues can press high up the pitch and create chances early doors, they will have half a chance.

The last time the two sides met in this competition was back in 2008. Huddersfield, then in League One, beat Blues, then of the Premier League, 2-1 courtesy of a late Chris Brandon goal. So, history shows that the lower league team can prevail in this fixture.

As far as Cotterill`s team selection is concerned, Jota remains the biggest talking point. The record signing has found his chances limited in recent weeks but he may fancy a crack at top flight opposition.

Blues fans – what would your team selection be? Feel free to leave your comments below.
