Blues` lack of fire power is being addressed by Gary Rowett who has made the signing of a new striker a priority this summer. He told the Birmingham Mail- “There is absolutely no doubt in the summer we will try to bring another striker in”.

Blues` over reliance of Clayton Donaldson backfired last season after the Jamaican international picked up an injury resulting in unexpected game time for rookie striker Nicolai Brock-Madsen.

Wes Thomas and Lee Novak, both subjects of loan moves last season, have been released from the club and Kyle Lafferty has returned to Norwich City leaving Rowett with Donaldson and James Vaughan as his only senior strikers.

Norwich are yet to decide on the future of the aforementioned Lafferty who Rowett has expressed a mild interest in – as he has done with several other players. The Blues manager said- “We know which types we want and which we think will make a difference. I could show you a list of 20 players and the key is working down that list and getting one as high up as possible”.

Danny Graham has been linked with a move from Sunderland but, as is the case with West Brom`s Victor Anichebe, the financial package may be out of Blues` parameters.
