According to reports on HITC Sport online, Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett is one of the favourites for the vacant managers post at Premier League side Hull City.

Since coming to St.Andrews in October 2014, Rowett has worked wonders getting Blues out of danger and turning them into a very solid counter attacking team in the Championship and because of his efforts he has often been linked with a move away from the club.

Whether the interest from the Tigers is genuine is yet unknown but with Rowett being regarded as one of the best young English managers across all four divisions, Hull could test the water with an initial enquiry.

Former Blues boss Steve Bruce resigned from the newly promoted side last week, and now it looks like Hull could be about to step up their hunt for a new manager but all those involved at Birmingham will have everything crossed, hoping that the Sky Bet Championship side can keep hold of their manager.

Personally, I think Rowett should stay with Blues just one more season because money will eventually come into the club and I believe he is the man to lead us back to the Premier League.

However, the lure of a top flight club could prove to be too much with more money on offer, both as wages to him and money to spend on players so who knows what could happen before the start of the season.

Blues fans, how important is it for the club to keep hold of Gary Rowett? Let us know in the comment section down below!
