Birmingham City have made a bid of 700,000 Euros (approx £488,000) for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Peniel Mlapa, according to German newspaper Der Westen.
The six-foot-five Togo born centre forward spent a short period of time on trial with Blues during pre-season and started in the friendly at Northampton Town.
Blues manager Gary Rowett is notably looking to bolster his attacking options and Mlapa could be that man.
De Western claim that Birmingham City have made an ‘attractive offer` for the player to move to England on a permanent basis.
Mlapa spent last season on loan at FC Nurnberg scoring three goals in 24 appearances. The 24 year-old has previously represented Germany at U19 and U21 level.
