Sunderland winger Will Buckley has been announced as the second signing of the January transfer window by Birmingham City this afternoon.

The Blues have managed to capture Buckley on a short term loan deal which is due to run until the 11th of February.

Gary Rowett believes that his side will be able to get Buckley’s career back on track and he claimed that Buckley was arguably one of the best wingers in the Championship just 18 months ago.

It hasn’t been confirmed yet as to whether or not Buckley’s loan will be extended past the expiry of this deal but we believe that he may have been brought in as cover for the currently injured David Cotterill.

Buckley has been deemed surplus requirements at Sunderland, a team who are fighting relegation at this moment in time, and a deal for the 26 year old might not be out of reach for Blues.

Blues fans, what do you think of Will Buckley? Is he a good addition to the squad? Where does he fit in? Let us know in the comment section down below!
