Birmingham’s First Summer Signing Reportedly Only A ‘Formality’ Away

|

German website BZ-Berlin.be is reporting that Union Berlin left back Kristian Pedersen is only a “formality” away from signing for us.

In what has been the biggest indication yet that the Danish defender is all set to depart, the Bundesliga-2 side have already brought in a replacement.

Ken Reichel has been signed on a free transfer from Eintracht Braunschweig. The 31-year-old usually plays on the left-hand side of defence and has reportedly put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the German team.

Pedersen’s transfer has been touted for a couple of weeks, ever since pictures were shared of him purportedly at the club’s stadium, taking pictures with a scarf.

What is holding up our move for the 23-year-old, it is anyone’s guess, but it seems Union Berlin are pretty certain that the full-back will be leaving the club this summer going by their own transfer activity in recent days.
