Birmingham Weigh Up Move For Ex Welsh International But They Face Competition

|

Boaz Myhill is a player that Garry Monk is looking at as a potential replacement for David Stockdale, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The former Blues loanee is out of contract but has continued to train with his former club West Brom.

The Sun (via HITC) say that Middlesbrough are also in for the former Wales international. Boro boss Tony Pulis worked with the player when he was the manager of the Baggies and could be looking to recruit him as cover for first-choice Darren Randolph.

West Brom themselves could also offer Myhill a new deal with the Birmingham Mail reporting that current boss Darren Moore is contemplating whether to keep the 35-year-old on the books at the Hawthorns.

With Sam Johnstone the Baggies first choice after signing from Manchester United for £6.5m, the veteran goalkeeper would certainly have the best chance of first-team football at St Andrew’s but would you want him at the club? Let me know in the poll:
