Birmingham City`s game against Newcastle United at St Andrews this afternoon has been called off.
Hard work has been done to keep the pitch and surrounding areas of the ground clear of snow in the run up to Saturday, but heavy snowfalls have won out in the end.
Referee Mike Jones and the local authorities both asked for the game to be called off.
