Birmingham will be contacting teams today in a last minute bid to bring in another body for midfield for the Christmas period.
Gary Rowett is well aware that Birmingham need another attacking midfielder to fit into the team behind Andrew Shinnie. The midfielder has seen a resurgence in form but Blues are concious that there are a lot of games coming up.
Birmingham have tried to bring in a player already but Wolves have decided against letting Michael Jacobs come 30 miles south to get some first team football.
In terms of outgoings there could also be a deal done should any teams show some interest in some of the players Rowett seems unlikely to use. Olly Lee seems to be out of the fold like a few others applying their trade in the U21s.
With the loan market closing today, we could be hearing something very soon.
