40 years on from the horrific bomb attacks in Birmingham, that killed 21 people, Birmingham City Football Club will mark the date with a half time tribute.

The names of the victims will be displayed on the big screen and will also be read out at half time in a touching tribute. Additionally the club will also run a full page spread in the match day programme.

The bombings shook the city in what was a truly shocking event that still rings loudly in the memory of all those connected to the city and its victims.

Following the attack the Mulberry Bush pub in Birmingham was left in ruins as 182 people were left injured and 21 dead.

It is hugely important that these past events are left in the past but duly remembered with compassion and care. We welcome the remembrance by the club.
