Abel Hernandez has hinted that there will be news regarding his future club very soon.

The Uruguayan confirmed at the weekend that he would be leaving Hull City in the summer, but on Twitter yesterday, he suggested that there would be more news on that front very shortly:

We are said to be one of nine clubs interested in the 27-year-old although reports have indicated that Leeds United are the hot favourites to land the striker.

Leeds Live reported earlier this week that the Whites are close to agreeing personal terms with Hernandez. It is believed that Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani’s friendship with Mino Raiola has played an important role.

The agent doesn’t represent the Uruguayan directly but he knows those that do, and he is said to have played a part in persuading the player that a switch to Elland Road is the right move.

We’ll have to wait and see if the striker’s move to Leeds is confirmed. If it is, Garry Monk will likely set his sights on another goal poacher.

  • This isn’t news KRO, This is you thinking out loud and pretty much stating the obvious. If this and if that then maybe this will happen. Obviously if we are after Hernandez and if we don’t get him GM will set his sights on another goal poacher but we don’t even know if we are in for him in the first place. OMG!!!

I cant believe I just spent some of my time doing this !!!

  • It’s silly season time, when there is nothing new to report we get the same old re hashed publications over and over.I look at Blues News every day and have seen the same articles posted many times however I look and read hoping to hear something new, maybe a new signing.Crikey we don’t want a repeat of last summer with rushed signings as the window shuts. In an ideal world new blood should be brought in before pre season. The World Cup will impact “silly season” this year yet I will continue to monitor hoping for some genuine, new positive news.

  • Same old crap year on year linked to everyone but no deals.
Other clubs linked with players and within a week they are signed,so you have to question the set up at the Blues.
    Same old I’m afraid.

  • Seriously people need to chill it’s the first week of June who cares how long it takes if there the right players unlike the some off the dross we signed last year monk will know what he wants out off the 50 or we’ve been linked with only 1 or 2 will be genuine kro
