Birmingham Target Hints That His Future Will Be Resolved “Soon”

|

Abel Hernandez has hinted that there will be news regarding his future club very soon.

The Uruguayan confirmed at the weekend that he would be leaving Hull City in the summer, but on Twitter yesterday, he suggested that there would be more news on that front very shortly:

We are said to be one of nine clubs interested in the 27-year-old although reports have indicated that Leeds United are the hot favourites to land the striker.

Leeds Live reported earlier this week that the Whites are close to agreeing personal terms with Hernandez. It is believed that Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani’s friendship with Mino Raiola has played an important role.

The agent doesn’t represent the Uruguayan directly but he knows those that do, and he is said to have played a part in persuading the player that a switch to Elland Road is the right move.

We’ll have to wait and see if the striker’s move to Leeds is confirmed. If it is, Garry Monk will likely set his sights on another goal poacher.
