Peter Day has revealed to Mel Eves that the current dealings of BIHL are in preparations to sell the club. It was rumoured the structure of the deal was not in favour of the HK stock exchange and the deal had been held up. However the former Wolves man revealed that Day said once this latest round of dealings were done by BIHL it would pave the way for a deal to be done.

The takeover could happen at any point through out the season. What could be said is that the next deadline for the fans would be to have the deal completed before January. Should the worst happen and Blues not do very well this season, the wage budget would need to be increased come January.

Our understanding is that Blues executive Panos Pavlakis is now running things at St Andrews and did find the money to get Denny Johnstone in. He also allowed Lee Clark to exceed Blues wage cap to secure Clayton Donaldson.

Lee Clark has never the less cracked on his dealings over the summer and after a positive pre season the club are at an unusual positive high point. Blues have signed players like Grant Hall; David Edgar; Gavin Gunning and Jonathan Grounds to help out at the back.

For midfield, Stephen Gleeson; David Cotterill; Mark Duffy and youth team graduates Demarai Gray with Reece Brown to help the cause. Potentially most exciting of all a strong and pace filled front line with Wes Thomas; Clayton Donaldson and Denny Johnstone coming in.

Blues beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-1 yesterday to bring pre season to a close and are now preparing to face an incomplete Middlesbrough side this coming weekend.
