In preparation for Birmingham’s visit to Croft Park this weekend, the team have been training away from their usual pitch at training complex at Wast Hills.
The team have moved further up the complex to pitches that are quite simply, not very good.
Croft Park’s pitch has been frozen in the past few weeks and it is certain to be a bobbly affair if the ball ends up in the air.
Birmingham will travel to Blyth Spartans for an FA Cup clash, if they win it will be job done but there remains the danger of becoming a huge scalp for the side five divisions below them.
Blues will need to take their chances if they are to progress to the next round. We know the team can defend well, but there is always that danger of conceding the odd goal.
It will put the game at ease if Birmingham can get one either side of half time, or better yet – two in the first half.
