The Blues Trust held a supporters meeting on Tuesday night at the Royal George Hotel Bar and called on action towards the Football League to try and help the club.

The meeting was described lively by the Birmingham Mail and Steve McCarthy set out plans to improve the situation of the club. The most interesting point raised was finding out the rules about an organisation being ran for non-football reasons.

Birmingham would seem to fit the bill over the past few years. What more of a clear indication of a non-football aim than to invest next to nothing in the playing staff over the last painstaking three years!

Additionally there was a call to join with other supporters Trust across the country in a bid to unite and become harder to ignore. Indeed it will be a long balancing act between the property rights of the ‘owners’ of troubled clubs and the community rights of the supporters.

We were not invited to be involved with the Trust on this occasion but will continue to provide some publicity for any support let action.

Birmingham now turn their attention to footballing matters, a Derby match on Saturday, a baptism of fire for new manager Gary Rowett.
