Lee Clark is confident that his team are capable of competing with any team in the Championship and has urged the team to do just that when the international break comes to an end.
Birmingham have picked up a respectable points tally in the last week, putting pen to paper on what Clark has been telling us since the start of the season.
It is not just that week that has convinced Clark that his team have what it takes. Dominant performances in spells of other games show the team could beat just about anything, Clark said.
“I see how well Ipswich Town are doing and remember the praise Mick McCarthy gave us after that game and how we should have taken the maximum points there.
“We do respect all the teams in the league, but there is nothing for us to fear.
“We can compete with them all.”
Birmingham can not afford to continue to drop points. It was beginning to breed fear among the supporters, like there were no points coming any time soon. Now is the time to steady the ship and move on.
Bolton Wanderers travel to St Andrews after the international break and only time will tell for this team.
