We are looking to recruit Cardiff City striker Omar Bogle on a loan deal, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The 26-year-old could be close to making the switch to St Andrew’s, reporter Brian Dick suggests, which would give Garry Monk greater options in attack.
Bogle has lost his form over the last 18 months. In the 2016/17 campaign, he scored 19 goals in all competitions for Grimsby. However, after his move to Wigan in January 2017, his goals began to dry up as he struggled to adapt to life in the Championship.
After just six months, and despite scoring just three in 14 games for the Latics, he made the move to Cardiff for £700,000 last August. The 6ft 3 forward’s game time was limited in the first half of last season and he was loaned out to Peterborough in January.
Things didn’t turn out too well with the League One club, and he was given just four starts, scoring once against Walsall back in February. If he does make the switch to us, hopefully, he can recapture his form in front of goal.
Should we go after Bogle? Let me know in the poll:
