Birmingham Reject Bid From Championship Rival For Stopper

|

We have turned down an offer from Leeds United for goalkeeper David Stockdale, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The bid is reportedly below the valuation the club have set for the player, and it is not known whether the Whites will come back with a revised offer.

Stockdale has been told he can leave, along with his fellow keeper Tomasz Kuszczak, but there are a number of obstacles to our no.13 leaving St Andrews.

The 32-year-old is reportedly on a sizeable wage, and reports have suggested that Leeds are struggling to agree personal terms with the stopper.

Hopefully, the situation will be resolved sooner rather than later. If we can get the player off the wage bill, it will allow us greater room for manoeuvre in the transfer market.

Despite our willingness to sell two goalkeepers, there hasĀ been no indication so far as to who could replace them in goal next season.
