Birmingham Not For Sale

Birmingham International Holdings Limited have spoken out about the recent transfer speculation.

The announcement was to say that there has been no agreement for the sale of Birmingham City Football Club or any partition of the club. A saddening point for Birmingham fans everywhere and a strange position to try and understand

The club is not for sale at this time. The question is, Why isn’t it for sale? I have been saying for quite some time now that it looks like Yeung is holding out for something.

Paladini has claimed that he is making an offer for Blues and has also offered to fly out to meet Carson Yeung about buying the club. There is little doubt over the interest Paladini expresses in the club and the ‘misleading’ comments Pannu accused him of, only seem to actually come from the actual owners.

The statement is apparently a formality that BIHL must make to the Hong Kong stock exchange when speculation is being made so frequently.

The board wishes to clarify that no written agreement has been reached or signed with any party in relation to the disposal of all or parts of the company`s equity interest in Birmingham City Plc (“BCP”) and/or Birmingham City Football Club (“BCFC”), and that as at the date of this announcement, the company has no immediate plans to dispose of a controlling equity interest in BCP and/or BCFC

Paladini insists he wants to buy the club, despite, what clearly seems like an absolute mess. One minute Yeung is instructing people to sell the club on his behalf and the next a statement reads it is not for sale.
