Birmingham Lock It Up

After many seasons, Blues finally have a resilient side back. Not since the days of Stephan Clemance and Stan Lazaridis have I been so proud of a Birmingham team. Flying tackles, ball retention and pace going forward. It seems as though Blues have what it takes to cement a Place in the English Premier League.

I want to be careful in saying that, because without Benitez and McFadden(who’s already out) the pace dries up, and so will the goals!

The defence along with the Barry Ferguson is what gives me particular optimism, what a signing that lad has been, cool and collected. IF he loses the ball, he’s straight back in with a strong but brilliant tackle.

As for McFadden being missed, I was very worried, however Gary McSheffry came in on Saturday and did a solid job, well done son, its not easy being frozen out when injured.

Blues return to St.Andrews with three very good points, from an unlikely but deserving goal scorer. Gary O’Connor
